Dancing in the Discomfort Zone with Anne Bonney
Let's face it, life is uncomfortable. Whether it's interacting with other humans (or trying to), going after our goals and improving our lives, or understanding other people's perspectives, preferences and proclivities, being able to face the discomforts in life with courage, compassion, confidence and resilience will make life a lot more enjoyable! So join me as we DANCE IN THE DISCOMFORT ZONE! We'll explore new ideas, learn how to build our confidence, courage and resilience, and laugh a little too, because life is serious enough. We need a little cha cha, and a little ha ha every once in a while! Welcome to the Discomfort Zone with Anne Bonney!

Episode 226 Getting Hangry, cheating on your diet and losing your sh*t in a meeting
Have you ever noticed that when you're on a diet, you crush it in the morning, do pretty well for lunch, but Doordash is back on speed dial by 4pm and the large supreme pizza, cheezy bread (with extra ranch) and pint of Ben and Jerry's is on the way while you're speeding home? Or after a tough morning of performance evaluation, traffic and a screaming toddler, you have a really hard time dealing with Pat in accounting who talks so frikkin slow? You get that "super frustrated hangry" feeling and all will power and emotional intelligence goes out the window.
In this episode, I talk about Emotional Energy, the stuff we need to make decisions, show discipline and will power and not bite people's heads off in meetings. (figuratively...and literally I suppose!) What is it, and a few ways to replenish it when we're running low so we can get through that meeting (that should have been an e-mail) without maxing out our blood pressure.
